about

As an architect dedicated to embracing diverse design challenges, I have been entrusted with projects spanning various scales and scopes. My academic journey instilled in me a commitment to innovative, socially responsible design.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University, an accredited institution in Southfield, Michigan, graduating cum laude in May 2000. The curriculum emphasized conceptual design alongside a solid foundation in construction documents, detailing and practices. This comprehensive program fostered principles of diligence, thoroughness, and a deep understanding of design and creative disciplines, rooted in studies of the arts, physical and social sciences, technology, economics, and law. My academic excellence led to opportunities such as studying at the University of Paris and induction into Tau Sigma Delta, an Architectural Honor Society.

During this formative period, I established my private practice reflecting my philosophy of treating architecture as space and place, not merely building envelopes. This approach respects traditional construction practices, utilizing them with heightened attention to create spaces defined by appropriate concepts.

My initial professional experiences in the United States included roles at Wah Yee Associates and Sarnacki & Associates Architects, where I engaged in tasks ranging from project design to management and CAD coordination. These positions in medium-sized firms allowed me to excel and grasp essential aspects of architectural practice.

Upon graduation, I relocated to Malta to join a design team with AOM on the Manoel Island and Tigné project. This prominent endeavor provided opportunities to lead significant aspects, including Tigné Plaza, Tigné Plaza Blocks, Tigné foreshore, Tigné Fort Study, and use studies at Lazzaretto. This experience, coupled with continued architectural studies, enabled me to become a warranted architect in the Maltese Islands.

In 2005, I advanced my creative, construction, and detailing skills by undertaking the partial demolition and construction of the award-winning San Lawrenz Resort in Gozo. My responsibilities encompassed furniture and element design, master planning, interior design, construction detailing, and management. This exposure led to collaborations with local contractors on several major national projects.

In 2007, I embraced opportunities to work on projects of social and economic significance on an ongoing basis and have been meeting these challenges ever since.

My private practice allows me to continually challenge myself, fostering development as an architect and designer. I possess extensive experience in design projects, including interior detailing, industrial design, lighting, residential projects, marketing plans, product design, urban planning, master planning, commercial and retail design, construction detailing, documentation, and finishes. I consistently invest time and effort in expanding my knowledge in architecture and design, including construction methodologies, sustainability, and environmental management. This ongoing evolution strengthens the services I provide to clients and the projects entrusted to me.

I hold a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the University of Bath, further enhancing my expertise in sustainable design practices. Additionally, I have substantial experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM), which allows for efficient project visualization and management, ensuring precision and collaboration throughout the design and construction process.

My professional journey reflects a commitment to excellence and innovation, aiming to deliver exceptional architectural solutions that meet the unique needs of high-end clients and major projects.
